Location

This charming estate is idyllically situated in the north-eastern corner of the beautiful Lahemaa National Park, with sandy beaches, mossy pine forests, majestic wetlands, ancient fishermen’s villages and centuries-old manors.

From Vihula Manor, many major attractions are within easy reach: 4km to the secluded sandy beaches of the Baltic sea; 6 km to the historical Altja fishing village, offering a glimpse into the life of coastal people past and present; 6 km to the baroque Sagadi Manor; 14 km to Palmse Manor, the most impressive manor house in Estonia; 20 km to the “captain’s village” of Käsmu with a unique Maritime Museum; and 25 km to the regional capital Rakvere with Rakvere Medieval Castle.

Directions

When travelling by car from Tallinn, take the St Petersburg road in the direction of Narva. Drive approximately 70 km and upon reaching Viitna, take a left turn before the Viitna taverna and drive in the direction of Palmse. After approximately 5 km, turn right onto a road signposted to Sagadi. At the next crossroads, drive straight across following signs to Vihula. 6 km after passing Sagadi Manor, Vihula Manor is on the left.
